Four scopes. One team on the ground.

New construction makes up about 70% of what we do. Remedial work the rest. Every applicator on every site is one of ours, on the books and on the tools.

Remedial waterproofing and concrete repairs

Leyland Brothers Waterproofing offers a complete leak detection and consultancy service.

The signs of water damage are visible. Pinpointing the source usually is not. Our consultancy and remedial services pinpoint the areas of leakage to create a plan of action, solving problems in common areas such as concrete rooftops, balconies, wet areas, concrete spalling (concrete cancer) and podiums.

Concrete cancer occurs when steel reinforcements within building concrete expands, which weakens the encasing concrete. The damage is visible, structural, and only gets worse without intervention. We combine steel and concrete treatments with the right membrane to stop it from coming back.

Our remedial services are carried out by trained, in-house tradesmen working in full compliance with regulations and using the best available waterproofing products.

Sheet and torch-on membrane waterproofing

Over 40 years of torch-on experience. Each case considered individually to ensure the chosen application is the best application.

Sheet membrane waterproofing is designed to stop water transfer. That makes it a crucial component for rooftops, podiums, walls, water features, balconies, retaining walls, and anywhere else water might transfer through and cause damage.

Torch-on membranes are waterproof membranes welded to the underlying substrate using a torch. The fusion technique ensures superior adhesion between layers and is well-suited to high-traffic zones because of its durability.

Application method selection depends on location, substrate, structural condition, and environmental conditions. Regardless of the method chosen, we guarantee our services in providing complete water protection.

  • Torch-on membranes for rooftops, balconies, planter boxes and retaining walls. SBS-modified polymer + bitumen on reinforced bases for cold-weather performance and high tensile strength.
  • Liquid membranes for rooftops, balconies, terraces, planter boxes, detention tanks, water features, retaining walls, wet areas and decorative façades.
  • Sheet membranes (Green Star rated TPOs) for long-term protection across horizontal applications including rooftops and podiums.
  • Below-ground waterproofing. Sheet and liquid systems matched to the substrate for basements, lift pits and retaining walls.

Epoxy coatings

A waterproof resin which provides a durable and impermeable film on the surface it coats.

Used for flooring, plant rooms, walkways and showrooms. Epoxy coatings give the surface a sealed, easy-to-clean finish that handles foot traffic and most commercial loads.

Unlike other waterproofing methods, epoxy allows for selection of colour and finish, including slip-resistant variants for walkways and industrial-strength formulations for plant rooms and warehouses.

Roof systems

Although membrane roofs are most commonly used in commercial application, it is becoming increasingly more common in residential.

We work across the full membrane catalogue and match the system to the building, not the other way around.

  • We supply all types of torch applied and sheet membranes.
  • We have a large range of acrylic membranes available.
  • We can supply and apply polyurethane waterproofing membranes. 2 to 3 coat fast-drying seamless systems.
  • PVC membranes are one of the most durable waterproofing options.
  • We also install plural component polyurethane and polyurea sprayed or trowelled systems. Strong and trafficable within two hours, ideal for active construction sites.
